Ciao, y’all. I’m Marco.

An Italian wedding photographer shaped by seventeen years in America—and twenty-five years of watching people. I have spent those years photographing weddings, families, portraits and the brief, unrepeatable exchanges that happen between people. The camera is part of the work. Attention comes first.

STILL CURIOUS

What happens before the pose.

I am interested in the moment before someone becomes aware of the camera. The glance across a room. A hand reaching for another. The laughter that begins when everyone thinks the photograph is already over. Weddings still hold my attention because they bring an entire history of relationships into one place. Some are obvious. Others reveal themselves slowly. My job begins with noticing.

BETWEEN TWO CULTURES

Italian roots. An American chapter.

I am Italian, but seventeen years of my life and career were spent in the United States. Working there shaped the way I communicate, collaborate and move through a wedding day. It taught me to enter unfamiliar rooms, connect with people from different backgrounds and remain calm when plans inevitably change. Returning to Italy brought those years of experience home. Today I am based between Umbria and Veneto and photograph destination weddings throughout Italy, working with couples, families and planners arriving from many parts of the world.

TRUST

Trust is not something I ask for. It is something I build.

WORKING TOGETHER

The person you meet is the person who photographs your wedding.

I photograph every wedding personally and take on a limited number of celebrations each year. Some weddings allow me to work quietly on my own. Others benefit from a second photographer or an assistant. We will decide that together according to the people, timing and shape of the celebration. Whatever the scale, our relationship remains direct. I will be the person listening before the wedding, paying attention during it and caring for the photographs afterwards.

AWAY FROM THE CAMERA

A different kind of attention.

When I am not photographing, I am often at my family’s olive grove near Perugia, working with the Olivando team to produce extra virgin olive oil.

It is a different kind of craft, but it asks for many of the same things: attention, patience and respect for what cannot be rushed.

Perhaps that is also why I do not believe meaningful moments can be forced.
